Peer review
The Proceedings of the International Seminar on Advances in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (ISAIME) upholds a rigorous peer review process to ensure the publication of high-quality and scientifically valid research. The peer review process is designed to maintain academic integrity, originality, and relevance within the fields of mechanical and industrial engineering.
1. Peer Review Process
- All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial screening by the editorial board to assess their suitability, originality, and compliance with submission guidelines.
- Manuscripts that meet the initial criteria are subjected to a double-blind peer review, where both the reviewers and authors remain anonymous to ensure an unbiased evaluation.
- At least two independent reviewers, who are experts in the relevant field, evaluate each manuscript based on scientific merit, technical quality, clarity, and contribution to the discipline.
- Reviewers provide constructive feedback and recommendations, which may include acceptance, minor or major revisions, or rejection.
- The final decision on manuscript acceptance rests with the editorial board, taking into consideration the reviewers' evaluations and the manuscript’s adherence to academic and ethical standards.
2. Criteria for Manuscript Evaluation
Reviewers assess manuscripts based on the following criteria:
- Originality and Novelty – The research presents new insights, methods, or advancements in mechanical and industrial engineering.
- Scientific Rigor and Methodology – The study is based on sound scientific methods, with clear experimental design and valid data analysis.
- Relevance and Impact – The research contributes to knowledge advancement and practical applications within the seminar’s scope.
- Clarity and Organization – The manuscript is well-structured, with logical flow, clear presentation, and proper use of technical language.
- Ethical Compliance – The research follows ethical guidelines, with no evidence of plagiarism, data fabrication, or conflicts of interest.
3. Review Timeline and Revisions
- Reviewers are given a specified time frame to complete their assessment, typically 2–4 weeks.
- Authors receiving revision requests must respond to reviewer comments and submit a revised manuscript within the given deadline.
- Revised manuscripts may be re-evaluated by the same reviewers before a final decision is made.
4. Confidentiality and Ethical Considerations
- All submitted manuscripts and review reports are treated as confidential documents.
- Reviewers must not disclose, share, or use any part of the manuscript for personal advantage.
- Any ethical concerns, such as plagiarism or data manipulation, should be reported to the editorial board for further investigation.
5. Final Decision and Publication
- The editorial board makes the final decision on manuscript acceptance based on reviewer feedback and the authors' revisions.
- Accepted papers are included in the Proceedings of ISAIME and must have been presented at the seminar prior to publication.
This peer review policy ensures that all papers published in the Proceedings of ISAIME meet high academic and ethical standards, contributing valuable knowledge to the field of mechanical and industrial engineering.
